Talky Space

cafe-group

Our main monthly meet and the place to start if you're new is Talky Space.

It's our monthly meet on Zoom for bi people in Manchester and North West England.

We start at 7.30pm with a "new members space" which is just people who are new and a couple of group regulars taking you through an outline of what the group is about: social-support by bis for bis and those questioning their orientation who might be bi, not a dating / flirt space. You may already have read enough on these web pages to have the idea but it makes sure we've covered some of the basics with everyone! Also that can be less intimidating for some people than a room full of people who already seem to know one another.

Then people who've been before join us from 8pm, we do quick introductions and find out what people want to talk about as to what's on their mind this month, and things normally roll on from there to a little after nine. Ten on a talkative night. Someone will be on chairing duty to ask people to speak in turn so we don't talk over each other which works really badly on zoom.

By then we have had getting on for two hours semi-structured chat space and call the meeting proper to a close; though some people stick around for a virtual "let's adjourn to the pub" chatter after.

Want to join us?

Note we are a group for over-18s only. There is no upper age limit.
